Advocate Abu Bakar Siddique is a passionate legal professional with extensive experience in shipping and admiralty law. He has obtained his LL.B, and LL.M. in International Trade Law from the University of Dhaka. He began his legal career at Trial Court in 2012 and then he joined the prestigious Shipping Law firm Orr, Dignam & Co., and apart from that he has personally served renowned institutions such as the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) and the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB), Local lighter vessel owners, importers, ship agents and scrappers.

With hands-on experience in Examining-in-chief and Cross-examination in over 100 Admiralty Suits and involvement in over 200 admiralty cases, Adv. Siddique has developed a deep understanding of litigation and dispute resolution. He has prepared written arguments and assisted his senior counsel in more than 500 complex cases, contributing significantly to their successful outcomes.

He has notably prepared a comprehensive summary on the Criminal Justice System of Bangladesh for the internal use of the British High Commission in Bangladesh. His international experience includes defending TCB in high-stakes international arbitrations.

He has a personal library, enriched with over 1,000 volumes on shipping and admiralty law, which reflects his commitment to continual learning and legal scholarship.

Currently, he leads a dynamic team of young, energetic, and dedicated associates who share his passion for maritime law. Together, they are devoted to resolving shipping disputes with precision, efficiency, and depth.
